About

“Let the beauty we love be what we do.” — Rumi

Since graduating from Hope College in 2008, I’ve been earning my keep as a teacher, farmer, set builder, and bookseller, all the while making my way from continent to continent in search of life and experience. I’ve also been writing (though it doesn’t contribute much to my “keep”), and this website houses a number of my finished and in-progress projects. I hope you enjoy reading them.

I have been honored to have my work appear in Opus, Etc., The Boston Literary Magazine, and an upcoming collection edited by Naomi Shihab Nye: Time You Let Me In: 25 Poets Under 25, from GreenWillow and HarperCollins. I’m also proud to be an editor of Avalanche magazine.

For travel updates and photographs, you can visit my personal blog, Interestingly, no.

Thank you for reading.
